The care of mosaics is relatively easy. After the grout is sealed, the materials are extremely durable and long lasting. Surface dirt can be removed with a soft broom or a damp sponge.

Because the materials are washable and highly stain resistant, mosaics are particularly suitable for floors and restrooms. The close grout lines and juxtaposed tesserae of mosaics provide a textured and slightly uneven surface, making them safe underfoot.
